Job Description:
Saab, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director, Security to lead our comprehensive security initiatives, ensuring the protection of our employees, assets, and sensitive information. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in industrial, physical, and information security; with a thorough understanding of the National Industrial Security Program (NISP) and Foreign Ownership Control and Influence (FOCI).
Key Responsibilities:
Comprehensive Security Oversight
Develop, implement, and continuously improve security policies, procedures, and programs to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
Establish and manage a robust security governance framework, integrating personnel, physical, and information security.
Lead a team of security professionals with a wide range of security disciplines.
National Industrial Security Program (NISP)
Lead the implementation of the NISP, ensuring compliance with government regulations and security clearance processes.
Serve as the primary liaison with government agencies, managing audits and assessments related to NISP compliance.
Develop and implement FOCI mitigation strategies to address risks associated with foreign ownership, control, or influence.
Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure adherence to FOCI-related requirements and reporting obligations.
Physical and Information Security
Design and implement physical security measures for facilities and personnel, including access controls, surveillance systems, travel, and emergency response protocols.
Collaborate with IT and cybersecurity teams to develop information security policies that protect sensitive data from unauthorized access and cyber threats.
Incident Response and Crisis Management
Develop and execute incident response plans to address security breaches and emergencies effectively.
Lead crisis management efforts, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders during incidents.
Training and Security Awareness
Develop and implement comprehensive training programs to enhance employee awareness of security policies and procedures.
Foster a culture of security within the organization, promoting best practices among all staff.
Collaboration and Reporting
Work closely with senior leadership, legal, compliance, and operational teams to provide security insights and recommendations.
Prepare regular security reports, metrics, and risk assessments for executive leadership and the Government Security Committee.
Compensation Range: $154,300- $204,500
The compensation range provided is a general guideline. When extending an offer, Saab, Inc. considers factors including (but not limited to) the role and associated responsibilities, location, and market and business considerations, as well as the candidate's work experience, key skills, and education/training.
Skills and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree with minimum of 15 years of experience or a master’s degree with minimum of 10 years of security experience.
Proven experience managing security programs on a national scale, with a deep understanding of security challenges and regulations that apply to U.S. wide businesses.
Strong knowledge of physical and personnel security measures, information security best practices, and crisis management protocols.
Excellent leadership, communication, and people skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Industrial Security Professional (ISP), Physical Security Professional (PSP), Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)) are highly desirable.
Citizenship Requirements:
Must be a U.S. citizen. Applicants selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
